Responsibilities:

  • Directs investigation and resolution of all liability, physical damage, cargo and injury claims involving PGT Trucking, Inc.
  • Monitors trends within the Company concerning these problem areas then develops programs to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of and costs associated with these incidents.
  • Manages all claims filed against the Company. Monitors progress of claims through the system and develops continuing strategies to expedite the processing procedure.
  • Analyzes all documentation related to claim payment requests. Evaluates the validity of any damage estimates and injury documentation submitted in support of claims.  Determines the extent, if any, of the Company's liability in view of applicable state negligence law.
  • Handles all claims involving serious damages personally. Negotiates settlements with claimants, body shops and attorneys as required, while coordinating the recovery of any vehicles involved with towing companies and the local authorities.  Assigns adjusters to attend to individual claims as needed. 
  • Oversees and coordinates submission of losses reports to insurance companies. Arranges payment of all deductibles.
  • Manages all negotiations through insurance companies and analyzes recorded data.

 

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must have 3 years of transportation related experience.
  • Must have at least 5 years of insurance and claims experience.
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and have analytical skills.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
