Responsibilities:

  • Solicits, processes, and coordinates scheduling of shipments from existing and new customers.
  • Coordinates scheduling of available equipment, available freight, and available drivers to ensure the best possible service for company clients.
  • Advises the sales department regarding the development of new customers. Forwards information to the appropriate personnel concerning relevant issues, equipment and product knowledge.
  • Creates files for new customers in computer systems.  Assigns orders and monitors status of loads entered into ADDS System.
  • Compiles data comparing PGT Trucking's performance to that of other carriers at customer facilities.
  • Manages and maintains customer relationships with new and existing clients.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelors strongly preferred
  • Must be detailed oriented, punctual, and organized.
  • Must have 2 years of transportation experience. Brokerage/3PL a plus.
  • Must be a problem solver and have analytical skills.
